WITHOUT TORQUE CONVERTER:
• The Prestolite catalog lists the F-140 fitment without torque converter
• Torque converter trucks can use a different starter
• Check what is stamped on the unit you removed

THIS IS A SIX VOLT STARTER:
• This unit is 6 volt, not 12 volt
• Many of these trucks were converted to 12 volt in service
• If yours has been converted you need the 12 volt unit instead
• Check the battery and the generator before ordering

HOW TO VERIFY FIT:
• Clockwise, right hand rotation viewed from the pinion end
• 9 tooth pinion, direct drive, closed nose cone
• Two bolt flange mount, grounded case
• Solenoid is attached to the starter, not remote mounted
• 6 volt, about 20.4 lb / 9.27 kg
