• The pinion carries TWELVE teeth, most of this family carry ten
• It turns CLOCKWISE and bolts on with TWO ears
• Count the teeth on the pinion of the unit coming off

• C-113 is 113 cubic inches, the four in the U-2 and U-2A
• C-123 is 123 cubic inches, the four in the U-123
• C-135 is 135 cubic inches, the four in the UC-135
• C-169 is 169 cubic inches and C-175 is 175 cubic inches
• The U-4 and IU-4 carry International's own four cylinder

HOW TO VERIFY FIT:
• Count the pinion teeth, this unit has TWELVE
• Count the mounting ears, this unit has TWO
• Turn the pinion by hand, it free wheels one way only
• Read the tag, a black Delco tag is six volt
• The engine code is cast into the block, C-113 C-123 C-135

DO NOT ORDER IF:
• Your power unit has been converted to twelve volt
• Your machine is a UC-135 Series B or a UC-153 of 1965 or later
• Your old pinion has ten teeth, that is a different starter
• Your unit is a U-6, IU-6, U-9 or a UD diesel, those are bigger
