IMPORTANT:
INTAKE valve for John Deere 6.101 engines (1.65L, 3-cylinder, naturally aspirated, indirect injection). The JD 6.101 is a Yanmar 3TN84 built under license — Yanmar parts may cross-reference but always verify dimensions. Requires 3 intake valves per engine (2-valve-per-cylinder design). Do NOT confuse with exhaust valve R101305 — intake valves have a larger head diameter.

Fits John Deere compact tractors (670/770/790), compact utility (855/856), and the F935 front mower. These are small, naturally aspirated indirect injection engines — do NOT confuse with the larger JD 3029 or 4045 PowerTech engines which use completely different valves. When replacing, inspect valve guides for wear and valve seats for pitting. Replace valve stem seals. On these compact engines, carbon buildup in the pre-combustion chambers can cause hot spots that damage exhaust valves — inspect both intake and exhaust positions during any valve service. Adjust valve lash to spec after reassembly.
