IMPORTANT:
EXHAUST valve for John Deere 6090 PowerTech Plus engines (9.0L, 6-cylinder, 4-valve-per-cylinder design). Requires 12 exhaust valves per engine. This valve fits the 8R-series tractors (8225R through 8370R) and S680/S690/S780/S790 combines — all 6090 9.0L engines. Do NOT confuse with 6068 (6.8L) valves or 6076/6081 (7.6L/8.1L) valves — each engine family uses different valve dimensions.

When replacing exhaust valves, inspect valve guides for wear and valve seats for pitting, erosion, or recession. Replace valve stem seals during any valve job — old seals cause oil consumption and blue exhaust smoke. Exhaust valves see the highest thermal stress in the engine — check for heat discoloration, cracking, or tulip-shaped deformation on removed valves. If one exhaust valve failed, inspect all remaining valves for early signs of the same failure pattern. Measure valve protrusion after installation and verify spring pressures against service manual specs.

⚠️ Confirm engine is 6090 (9.0L) — not 6068 (6.8L) or 6076/6081 (7.6L/8.1L).
