IMPORTANT:
INTAKE valve for FPT/Iveco Cursor 9 engines (8.7L, 6-cylinder, common rail). The Cursor 9 is built by FPT Industrial (Fiat Powertrain Technologies) and is shared across Case IH and New Holland equipment. Case IH Magnum 250-380 and New Holland T8.320-T8.410 tractors use the same Cursor 9 engine and the same valves. Requires 12 intake valves per engine (4-valve-per-cylinder design). Do NOT confuse with exhaust valve 504368419 — intake valves have a larger head diameter.
When replacing intake valves, inspect valve guides for wear (wobble test) and valve seats for pitting or recession. Replace valve stem seals during any valve job — old seals cause oil consumption and blue exhaust smoke. Check spring free length and installed pressure against FPT service manual specs. Measure valve protrusion after installation. On turbocharged engines, excessive intake valve recession reduces compression and causes hard starting. Adjust valve lash per FPT specs after reassembly.
