IMPORTANT:
OIL PRESSURE RELIEF valve for John Deere PowerTech 3029, 4045, and 6068 engines — limits max oil pressure to protect bearings and seals. Do NOT confuse with fuel pressure relief valves or suction control valves (DZ111xxx) — those are fuel system parts. RE516335 fits later-generation PowerTech (2001-2007 era) in 6x20/7x20 tractors and 310G/310SG backhoes. For earlier PowerTech (1997-2003 in 5xxx/6xxx tractors), see RE505501 — the two are NOT interchangeable.
Symptoms: oil pressure too high at cold start (stuck closed) or too low at hot idle (stuck open/worn spring), gauge fluctuation, oil leaks at valve bore. When replacing, inspect bore for scoring. Replace O-ring and clean debris from valve seat. Low pressure can also indicate worn oil pump, clogged pickup screen, or excessive bearing clearance — diagnose before replacing.
⚠️ Confirm engine generation — RE516335 vs RE505501 are NOT interchangeable.
