IMPORTANT:
EXHAUST valve with .371" (9.42mm) STEM DIAMETER for International DT466P engines (7.6L, 6-cylinder, turbocharged). The DT466 family has TWO different exhaust valve stem diameters depending on engine generation: .371" (9.42mm) for DT466P (1994-2003 production) and .315" (8mm) for earlier DT466/DT466B/DT466C (pre-1994). Ordering the wrong stem diameter is the #1 mistake — the valves look similar but will NOT fit the wrong valve guides. Requires 6 exhaust valves per engine (2-valve-per-cylinder design).

Fits International 4700/4900 trucks and 3800-series school buses with the DT466P engine. When replacing, inspect valve guides for wear — guide ID must match the .371" stem. Check valve seats for pitting, erosion, and recession. Replace valve stem seals. Check spring free length and adjust valve lash per service manual after reassembly. The DT466P uses mechanical fuel injection (HEUI came later on the DT466E) — rough running after valve work may indicate timing issues.
