IMPORTANT:
INTAKE valve for later-production John Deere 6068 PowerTech PSS engines (6.8L, 6-cylinder, 2014+ production, 4-valve-per-cylinder design). Requires 12 intake valves per 6068 engine. Do NOT confuse with exhaust valve R534237 — intake valves have a larger head diameter to maximize airflow and use different alloy than exhaust valves. Also verify engine production date — earlier 6068 engines may use a different intake valve part number.
When replacing intake valves, always inspect valve guides for wear (wobble test) and valve seats for pitting, erosion, or recession. Replace valve stem seals during any valve job — old seals cause oil consumption and blue exhaust smoke. Check valve spring free length and installed pressure against service manual specs. Measure valve protrusion after installation to confirm correct installed height. On turbocharged engines, excessive intake valve recession can cause compression loss and hard starting. If replacing due to a dropped valve or foreign object damage, inspect the piston crown and cylinder bore for secondary damage before reassembly.
⚠️ Order 12 per 6068 engine. Confirm 2014+ build date.
