IMPORTANT:
This is a DUAL-PURPOSE valve that fits BOTH intake AND exhaust positions on John Deere 6135 engines (13.5L, 6-cylinder, PowerTech PSS). Using one valve for both positions simplifies ordering — you need 24 total valves per engine (12 intake + 12 exhaust, 4-valve-per-cylinder design). Do NOT confuse with 6125 (12.5L) engine valves (R122035) — the 6135 and 6125 are different displacement engines and their valves are NOT interchangeable.

Fits 9R-series tractors (9360R-9620R/RT) and S680/S690/S780/S790 combines equipped with the 6135 13.5L engine. When replacing, inspect valve guides for wear and valve seats for pitting or recession. Replace valve stem seals — reusing old seals causes oil consumption and blue exhaust smoke. Check spring free length and installed pressure specs. Measure valve protrusion after installation. On these large-displacement engines, valve seat recession can cause significant compression loss — check protrusion carefully against service limits.
