IMPORTANT:
EXHAUST valve for Perkins 1100 Series engines — specifically 1104C-44, 1104C-44T, 1104D-44, and 1104D-44T variants (4.4L, 4-cylinder). In Caterpillar equipment, this engine is branded as C4.4. The Cat equivalent exhaust valve is 339-9637 — same valve, different part number. Requires 4 exhaust valves per engine. Do NOT confuse with intake valve 3142H091.

This engine is used across Cat 416E/420E/428E/430E backhoes, JCB 3CX/4CX, Massey Ferguson 5425-5470 tractors, and dozens of other OEMs. When replacing, inspect valve guides for wear and seats for pitting/erosion. Replace valve stem seals. Exhaust valves see the highest thermal stress — check for heat cracking and face erosion on removed valves. Measure valve protrusion after installation. Adjust valve lash per service manual.
