ABYC E-11 STANDARD — YELLOW COLOR USE (MODERN DC NEGATIVE):
Per ABYC E-11 marine electrical standards (2008 revision and later), YELLOW is the PREFERRED color for DC negative current-carrying conductors in new construction and modern installations. Yellow has replaced black as the recommended DC negative color for improved color identification and safety. This 14 AWG yellow marine wire is intended for branch circuit DC negative wiring up to approximately 15-20 amps continuous service.
