Description

UNIVERSAL MARINE WIRE — 14 AWG DARK BLUE TINNED COPPER PRIMARY WIRE 100 FT SPOOL:

MARINE WIRE COLOR USE (DARK BLUE):
Dark blue marine primary wire is commonly used for cabin lighting circuits, instrument panel illumination, electronics auxiliary positive feeds, and general-purpose 12V branch circuits where color differentiation from the primary ABYC red/black/yellow/green wires is needed. ABYC E-11 does not strictly assign dark blue to a specific function, allowing flexibility for installer color-coding schemes.

COMMON 14 AWG DARK BLUE MARINE INSTALLATION APPLICATIONS:
• Cabin Lighting Circuit Positive Feeds
• Instrument Panel Illumination Wiring
• Helm Backlighting and Indicator Light Circuits
• Compass Light Power Wiring
• Fishfinder and Sonar Auxiliary Power Feeds
• GPS and Chartplotter Backup Power Circuits
• Stereo Memory and Power Backup Wiring
• Cabin Reading Light Circuits
• Galley Light Wiring
• Berth and Bunk Light Power Feeds
• Switch Panel Branch Circuits (Designer Color Choice)
• Trim and Accent LED Strip Light Wiring
• Engine Hatch and Compartment Light Circuits
• Cockpit Mood Lighting Power
• Auxiliary 12V Outlet Branch Circuits
• Color-Coded Wiring Schemes (4th or 5th Color in Multi-Conductor Layouts)

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR (USE 12 AWG OR LARGER):
• Main Battery Cables and Battery Switch Feeds
• Engine Starter Wiring
• Windlass and Anchor Winch Power
• Bow Thruster Power Feeds
• High-Current Trolling Motor Main Feeds

COMPATIBLE VESSEL TYPES:
• All Powerboats — Center Console, Cuddy Cabin, Express Cruiser, Walk-Around
• All Sailboats — Day Sailers, Cruisers, Racing Yachts, Liveaboards
• Pontoon Boats and Houseboats
• Bass Boats and Bay Boats
• Personal Watercraft (PWC) Wiring Harness Repairs
• Outboard Motor Wiring Harness Repairs

• ABYC Compliant (American Boat & Yacht Council)
• United States Coast Guard (USCG) Specifications
• Made in USA

FITMENT NOTE:
Universal marine primary wire — fits any marine application requiring 14 AWG dark blue conductor. Not vehicle-specific. Dark blue is commonly used in marine wiring for cabin lights, instrument illumination, and color-coded branch circuits. For higher-current main feeds (battery cables, starter, windlass, etc.) use 12 AWG or larger gauge wire.
