This bearing kit replaces the original center main crankshaft bearing in Mercury V6 3.0L outboard engines manufactured from 1994 through 2004 in carbureted, EFI, and Optimax configurations. The center main bearing operates at the middle crankshaft journal where it absorbs significant loads from the rotating crankshaft and connecting rod assemblies in the V6 powerhead.
