This 84mm bore cylinder sleeve is designed for the Yamaha personal watercraft powered by the 760cc 2-cylinder 2-stroke engine. The cylinder sleeve is a precision-machined cast iron liner that presses into the aluminum cylinder casting to restore the cylinder bore when the original bore has become worn, scored, or damaged. Compatible with all Yamaha 760cc models from 1996 through 1998 including the Wave Blaster 760, Wave Raider 760, Wave Runner 760, and XL 760 personal watercraft. The sleeve is supplied undersized and must be bored and honed to final dimensions after installation to achieve the correct piston-to-cylinder wall clearance for the Yamaha 760cc engine. Proper cylinder bore condition is essential for maintaining compression and oil control in the 2-stroke engine where the piston rings must seal against both combustion gases and the crankcase charge. Professional machine shop installation is required for pressing the sleeve into the cylinder and boring to final specifications with proper crosshatch surface finish.
