Starter Gasket Sea-Doo Rotax 587 657
Starter gasket for Sea-Doo personal watercraft with the Rotax 587 580cc and Rotax 657 650cc 2-stroke twin cylinder engines. The 587 produces 56 HP with a 76mm by 64mm bore and stroke. The 657 produces 70 HP with a 78mm by 68mm bore and stroke. This gasket provides the seal between the starter motor and the engine block. A failed starter gasket allows fluid leaks that can damage the starter motor electrical connections and cause starting problems. On marine engines fluid leaks near the starter accelerate corrosion especially in salt water environments. This replacement gasket is manufactured to specifications for a precise fit. Always replace the starter gasket when removing the starter motor for service or rebuilding. Ensure both mating surfaces are clean and free of old gasket material before installation.
