12V 105A Alternator Fits 1999-2006 Mercruiser 3.0 Sterndrive

⚠️ 105 AMP, J180 HINGE MOUNT, THREE EARS:
• This is the 105 AMP build, the original on these was 65 to 70 AMP
• The mount is a J180 hinge with THREE ears, not a spool
• Ear 1 is M8-1.25 threaded, ears 2 and 3 are 8 mm plain
• The pulley is ONE groove V belt and the clock is 12 o'clock
• Count the ears on the old unit before you order

MERCRUISER STERN DRIVE, GM 3.0L 181 CID FOUR:
• MerCruiser Model 3.0 stern drive, 1999 to 2006
• MerCruiser Model 3.0LX stern drive, 1999 to 2006
• The engine is the GM 181 cubic inch inline four
• ARCO catalogs this alternator for the 3.0L from 1999 and up
• The MerCruiser 3.0 itself ran from 1996 to 2009

MERCRUISER HI PERFORMANCE, GM 9.0L 542 CID V8:
• MerCruiser Model 900SC, 1999 to 2002
• The engine is the GM 542 cubic inch big block V8

THE 105 AMP UPGRADE:
• The original unit on these engines is rated 65 to 70 AMP
• This is the same 7SI case, the same hinge and the same pulley
• It gives 105 AMP, at least 35 more than the unit coming off
• Check that the charge wire and the belt suit the higher output
• A worn or glazed belt will slip under the extra load

HOW TO VERIFY FIT:
• Count the mounting ears, this unit has THREE
• Ear 1 is M8-1.25 threaded, ears 2 and 3 are 8 mm unthreaded
• Count the pulley grooves, this unit has ONE V groove
• The regulator clock is 12 o'clock and the B+ stud is M6-1.0
• The regulator and the fan are both inside the case

DO NOT ORDER IF:
• Your old unit has a spool mount with TWO ears
• Your pulley has TWO V grooves or SIX serpentine grooves
• Your charge circuit is not rated for 105 amps
• Your old unit turns counterclockwise, this one turns clockwise
• Your engine is 24 volt, this unit is 12 volt
