READING THE HONDA TYPE CODE:
• L is the 20 in transom, X is the 25 in transom
• C means counter rotating, used on the second engine of a pair
• A is the USA market version
• A4, A5 and A6 are the 2004, 2005 and 2006 model years
• AK0, AK1, AK2 and DK1 mark later serial breaks
• The serial plate is on the right side of the stern bracket

ONE MOTOR, THREE HONDA NUMBERS:
• 36120-ZY6-013 was the first Honda number
• 36120-ZY6-023 replaced it
• 36120-ZY6-033 is the current number on the Honda diagram
• ARCO Marine 6235 and Sierra Marine 18-6745 replace all three

HOW TO VERIFY FIT:
• Confirm a round plug-in connector on a 2 wire lead
• Confirm 4 mounting bolts through the motor flange
• Confirm an 8 mm shaft with a 2.3 mm key into the pump
• Measure the body, it is 78.7 mm across and 112.5 mm long
• Motor only, the pump, reservoir and rams stay on the engine
