WHY DRIVE BELTS NEED REPLACING:
• Drive belts dry rot and crack with age even on low hour carts
• A worn or glazed belt slips under load, costing hill climbing and top speed
• Slipping also generates heat that damages the clutch sheaves
• A fresh belt restores the original torque transfer through the CVT clutches

FITMENT NOTES:
• GAS MODELS ONLY — electric EZGO carts have no drive belt of this type
• Belt length is approximately 41 inches with a 1.16 inch top width. Measure your old belt before ordering, as EZGO used several belt sizes across the Marathon production run
• DO NOT CONFUSE WITH THE STARTER GENERATOR BELT. Gas EZGO carts of this era carry two belts, a starter generator belt and this CVT drive belt. They are different parts
• The 2-cycle and 4-cycle Marathon share this drive belt but ran to different end years, 1993 for the 2-cycle and 1996 for the 4-cycle
• Some catalogues render the XI industrial model as XI30 and others as XI300. Both refer to the same vehicle, so match by the number on the old belt or by measurement
• A small number of sellers list the 4-cycle Marathon coverage as ending in 1994 rather than 1996. If your cart is a 1995 or 1996 model, confirm the belt length before ordering
• NOT for the EZGO TXT, Medalist or Workhorse with the 295cc or 350cc Robin engine — those use a different drive belt
• NOT for the 2PG Marathon built 1976-1987 — that model uses an earlier and different drive belt
