IMPORTANT:
Belt tensioner for Perkins 1100D and 1200 series engines — specifically 1104D-E44T (4.4L) and 1106D-E66TA (6.6L). These engines are the Perkins-branded versions of Cat C4.4 and C6.6. The Cat equivalent tensioner is 377-9082 (also listed as 2610406). If your equipment has a Cat part number on the engine plate, use 377-9082 instead — it is the same tensioner under a different brand. Alternate Perkins number: 2637A001.

V-ribbed belt tensioner with grooved pulley — do not use with flat/smooth belts. Primary applications: Massey Ferguson 5465/5475/6465/6475/6480 with 1104D-E44T 4.4L, and MF 7465/7475/7480 with 1106D-E66TA 6.6L. Also fits OEM industrial applications using Perkins 1100D/1200 series including generators, compressors, and equipment from various manufacturers.

Failure symptoms: belt squeal or chirp at idle, alternator warning light, water pump slippage causing elevated coolant temps, or visible belt deflection at the tensioner pulley. The spring mechanism fatigues over time — if the tensioner arm moves freely without resistance, replacement is overdue. Replace V-ribbed belt at the same time.
