IMPORTANT:
Auxiliary drive belt tensioner for John Deere 6090 PowerTech PSS (9.0L) and 6135 PowerTech Plus (13.5L) engines. These are large-frame 9R/9000 series tractors and S-series combines — do NOT confuse with smaller-frame tensioners like RE518097 (200 in-lb) or RE68715 (300 in-lb) which fit mid-frame PowerTech engines. 72.4mm grooved pulley for serpentine belt.

9330/9430/9530 models used the 13.5L (6135) engine through 2011, while 9360R/9370R switched to the 9.0L (6090) PSS from 2012. Both use this same tensioner. S660/S670/S760/S770 combines also use this part.

Failure symptoms: belt squeal at startup or under load, alternator undercharging, intermittent A/C engagement, or water pump slippage causing elevated coolant temps. A worn tensioner spring loses ability to compensate for belt stretch. Replace the serpentine belt at the same time — a glazed or cracked belt on a new tensioner will still slip.

⚠️ Verify engine family (6090 or 6135) and confirm RE243154 matches your engine plate before ordering.
