IMPORTANT:
CYLINDER #4 HIGH-PRESSURE injection line for the Cat 3024/C2.2 (Perkins 404C-22/404D-22). This delivers fuel from the injection pump to the injector nozzle — do NOT confuse with the low-pressure leak-off/return pipe (Cat 486-8879). Each cylinder has unique bends — NOT interchangeable between positions.
Cat 3024/C2.2 = Perkins 404C-22/404D-22. Perkins equivalents: 131507700-131507730. Both sets fit the same engine — use whichever matches your parts catalog. Do NOT confuse with the Cat 3044C/C3.4 (Mitsubishi S4S, 3.3L) which uses completely different lines.
Symptoms: fuel weeping, diesel odor, single-cylinder misfire. A cracked line sprays fuel onto hot surfaces — fire risk. Use flare-nut wrenches. Bleed fuel system thoroughly — this small engine is hard to restart if not properly bled.
