IMPORTANT:
This is the front cover gasket for the Cummins QSB3.3 with 4-valve head (2014+ Tier 4 production). It seals the front timing gear cover to the engine block. Do NOT confuse with the valve cover gasket or the oil pan gasket — this gasket specifically seals the front timing cover where the crankshaft exits for the pulley/damper.

Failure symptoms: oil leak from the front of the engine near the crankshaft pulley, oil on the serpentine belt, or oil dripping from the bottom of the timing cover. When replacing, inspect the front crankshaft seal — if it shows any sign of hardening or leaking, replace it during this job since the labor overlaps completely. Clean all old gasket material from both surfaces. The QSB3.3 4-valve front cover has a different bolt pattern than the older 2-valve B3.3 — gaskets are NOT interchangeable between 2-valve and 4-valve engines.
