IMPORTANT:
Fan belt tensioner for John Deere 6000 series European-market tractors. This is an early-generation tensioner spanning legacy engine designations (4276T/6414T) and the transition to modern PowerTech (4045/6068). The 70mm grooved pulley fits serpentine belt systems only.
Key fitment note: fits the FIRST generation 6000 series (6100/6200/6300/6400/6500/6600/6800/6900) produced 1992-1998, plus SE-series (SE6100-SE6400) and 7500 through 2003. Does NOT fit second-generation 6010/6020 series tractors — those use a different tensioner. Ordering the wrong generation is the most common mistake.
Failure symptoms: belt squeal at idle or startup, inconsistent alternator charging, cooling fan speed fluctuation, or visible belt wobble at the tensioner pulley. The internal spring wears over time and loses tension gradually — if the belt deflects more than 10mm at its longest span, the tensioner is likely worn. Replace belt and tensioner together.
