IMPORTANT:
This is the ACERT-era 9-plate brick cooler for Cat C4.4 engines (2011+). It is NOT the same as the earlier 3054C-era 9-plate cooler B225-6817 — different port configuration and gasket surfaces. Fits 416F/F2, 420F/F2, 430F/F2, 432F/F2, 434F, and 444F backhoe loaders with C4.4 ACERT engines.
The Cat 4.4L engine went through several generations: 3054 (mechanical), 3054C/3054E (electronic), C4.4 (Tier 3), and C4.4 ACERT (Tier 4). Each generation may use a different oil cooler. Ordering by plate count alone without confirming engine generation is the #1 mistake.
Failure symptoms: milky oil on dipstick, oil mixing into coolant, elevated oil temps, unexplained coolant loss. Replace all sealing gaskets during installation.
⚠️ Verify C4.4 ACERT engine — earlier 3054C/C4.4 models use B225-6817.
