IMPORTANT:
This timing gear cover gasket fits the John Deere 4045/6068 PowerTech engine — specifically the earlier production found in 6400/6410 tractors (1993-2003). This is a companion to R123425 but fits a narrower range of models. Do NOT interchange with R520131 or R520132 which are for later production of the same engine family — the timing cover design changed.

Failure symptoms: oil seeping from the front timing cover area. When replacing, inspect the front crankshaft seal and replace if hardened or leaking — the labor overlaps. Clean all old gasket material from both surfaces thoroughly. The 4045/6068 PowerTech engine went through multiple design updates during its production run — always confirm the engine serial number to get the correct gasket.
