IMPORTANT:
Water temperature sensor for 4045/6068 PowerTech engines (2008-2015 applications). This is a 2-pin NTC resistance sensor with 3/8 NPT thread. Do NOT confuse with RE151433 (also 3/8 NPT coolant temp for 4045) — these sensors have different NTC resistance curves and are NOT interchangeable even though they physically thread into the same port. Also do NOT confuse with the M12x1.5 metric sensors (RE522823) used on different engine builds.

Failure symptoms: temperature gauge malfunction, cooling fan staying on or not engaging, poor cold-start performance, black smoke, and ECU fault codes related to engine temperature. On electronic engines, the ECU uses coolant temp data for injection timing, fan clutch control, glow plug activation, and DPF regen scheduling. A failed sensor often causes multiple seemingly unrelated symptoms across these systems.
⚠️ Verify RE51774 by engine serial number and confirm 3/8 NPT thread.
