IMPORTANT:
Engine OIL PRESSURE sensor for Perkins 1104/1106 engines (2002-2020). This is the Perkins-branded sensor with 1/8 NPT thread and 3-pin connector. Perkins 1104C = Cat 3054C and Perkins 1106C = Cat 3056E — these are the SAME engines under different brand names. Cat may list a different part number (274-6721) for the same application. Do NOT confuse with M10x1.0 metric sensors (U5MK1090/U5MK1236) used on later 1104D/1106D engines — NPT and metric threads are NOT interchangeable.
Failure symptoms: low oil pressure warning, engine derate, erratic gauge readings. Found in Cat backhoe loaders (416D/420D/430D), Massey Ferguson tractors, JCB machines, and various Perkins industrial equipment. Apply Teflon tape to NPT threads during installation — do NOT use excessive pipe dope. Inspect connector for oil debris, as a slow seep from the NPT port can corrode pins over time.
⚠️ Verify 1/8 NPT thread — do not confuse with M10x1.0 metric sensors.
