Description

CATERPILLAR EXCAVATORS:
• Caterpillar 307C/308C/311C/312C/315C 3064/3066 (S4KT/S6KT) Diesel (2002-2010)

MITSUBISHI INDUSTRIAL ENGINES:
• Mitsubishi S4KT/S6KT S4KT 3.3L / S6KT 6.4L Diesel (1998-2010)

IMPORTANT:
This is an oil pressure SWITCH (on/off) — NOT a variable pressure sensor. Single 1-pin connector providing a ground signal when oil pressure drops below 0.3-0.5 bar. Cat 3064/3066 engines in 307C-315C excavators ARE Mitsubishi S4KT/S6KT engines — Mitsubishi MC840-219 and Cat 266-6210 are the SAME switch. If your parts book shows either number, this is the correct part. Do NOT confuse with 3-pin oil pressure sensors that provide variable voltage output for gauges and ECU data.

Failure symptoms: oil pressure warning light staying on or never illuminating. Before replacing, verify actual oil pressure with a mechanical gauge at the port — these engines are known for genuine low oil pressure at hot idle when bearings are worn, which is an engine condition, not a sensor fault. Uses 1/8 NPT thread — apply Teflon tape and snug to spec. Do NOT overtighten or use excessive sealant.
⚠️ Confirm 1-pin switch (not 3-pin sensor) and 1/8 NPT thread.
