IMPORTANT:
Mechanical fuel transfer pump with screw-in fittings for Kubota V1702 indirect injection engines (1.7L 4-cyl). Primary applications: Bobcat 743/743DS/743B skid steers and Kubota compact tractors. Part of the Kubota 02 Series engine family (late 1980s through 2000s).
Cam-driven design. The SCREW-IN fittings are different from hose barb connections used on other Kubota pumps — fitting type must match. Failure symptoms: hard starting, fuel starvation under load, poor priming, engine dying when hot. Diaphragm weakens with age — more common on higher-hour machines. Replace fuel filter and inspect fuel lines for cracks during pump replacement.
