Stanadyne DE2 injection pump for 4045T and 4045D engines (Tier 1/2). The #1 ordering mistake: confusing this with RE568071 for the higher-tier 4045H — they are NOT interchangeable. 4045T/D runs in tractors (6020/6120/6215/6220); 4045H serves excavators, loaders, dozers.
Failure symptoms: hard starting, black smoke, power loss under load, rough idle, stalling. Contaminated fuel and running tank low cause Stanadyne pump failure. CRITICAL: Prime fully before first start — running dry causes instant internal scoring.
⚠️ Confirm engine code (4045T/D vs 4045H) on your engine plate.
