IMPORTANT:
18-tooth differential bevel (side) gear for JD 300/400-Series tractors. This is a DIFFERENTIAL component — NOT an engine timing gear. Used in the differential housing to distribute power to the axle shafts.

Fits JD 820-2130 tractors (1970-1990). Bevel gears come in matched sets — when replacing, also inspect the spider gears (cross pins), differential case, and axle shaft splines. Check backlash between side gear and spider gears per service manual. Uneven tire wear or clunking noise during turns indicates differential gear wear.

⚠️ DIFFERENTIAL side gear — NOT an engine component. Inspect mating spider gears.
