This center main thrust ring set is a 0.5mm undersize replacement designed for Kawasaki 4-stroke personal watercraft engines including the STX-12F 1200cc and the STX-15F and Ultra series 1500cc models from 2003 through 2011. The 0.5mm undersize thrust ring set is used when the crankshaft center main thrust surfaces have been machined 0.5mm below the standard dimension to correct wear on the thrust bearing surface. The center main thrust rings control crankshaft end play, preventing excessive axial movement of the crankshaft during engine operation. Compatible with the Kawasaki STX-12F 1200cc from 2003 through 2009 and the STX-15F 1500cc from 2004 through 2011 as well as the Ultra 250X, Ultra 260LX, and Ultra 260X 1500cc models. Proper crankshaft end play is essential for maintaining correct timing chain tension and preventing crankshaft contact with the engine block thrust surfaces. Undersize thrust rings must be used with crankshaft thrust surfaces that have been properly machined to the corresponding undersize dimension.
