This lower rod bearing is a caged needle bearing assembly designed for Mercury and Mariner 2-stroke outboard engines ranging from 65 horsepower to 300 horsepower. The connecting rod lower bearing installs at the big end of the connecting rod where it rides on the crankshaft journal, providing the critical bearing surface between the rod and crank. Compatible with Mercury 3-cylinder looper engines from 65HP through 90HP, 3-cylinder 1.5L Optimax engines from 75HP through 125HP, 4-cylinder looper engines from 80HP through 125HP, and V6 3.0L engines from 200HP through 300HP. The caged needle bearing design retains the needle rollers in a precision cage for proper spacing and alignment during high-RPM engine operation.
