This lower main bearing fits Chrysler and Force 2-stroke outboard motors in 3-cylinder, 4-cylinder, and 5-cylinder configurations from 70 through 150 HP produced between 1977 and 1998. The bearing covers both the 3.312 bore and 3.375 bore engine variants across the Chrysler and Force outboard lineup spanning over two decades of production. Force outboards were originally produced by Chrysler Marine before the brand was acquired by US Marine (later Mercury Marine), and this bearing fits engines from both the Chrysler and Force eras. The lower main bearing supports the crankshaft at the bottom of the powerhead and handles radial loads from crankshaft rotation during engine operation. A worn lower main bearing causes engine noise, crankshaft misalignment, and power loss that can lead to powerhead damage if not replaced during rebuild.
