The connecting rod lower bearing installs at the big end of the connecting rod where it rides on the crankshaft journal, providing the critical bearing surface between the rod and crank. Compatible with Johnson/Evinrude V4 looper engines from 120HP through 140HP in both 3.500-inch small bore and 3.685-inch big bore configurations, V6 engines from 185HP through 250HP including looper, finger port, and Ficht models, and V8 looper engines from 250HP through 300HP. The caged needle bearing design retains the needle rollers in a precision cage for proper spacing and alignment during high-RPM operation in these powerful outboard engines.
