Description

UNIVERSAL MARINE WIRE — 14 AWG LIGHT BLUE TINNED COPPER PRIMARY WIRE 100 FT SPOOL:

ABYC E-11 STANDARD — LIGHT BLUE COLOR USE (OIL PRESSURE SENDER TO GAUGE):
Per ABYC E-11 marine electrical standards (Table XIV — Engine and Accessory Wiring Color Code), LIGHT BLUE color wire is specifically designated for oil pressure sender to gauge signal wiring. This 14 AWG light blue marine wire is intended for the variable-resistance signal connection between the engine oil pressure sender unit and the dashboard oil pressure gauge.

IMPORTANT — LIGHT BLUE vs DARK BLUE DIFFERENCE:
Light Blue (Lt Bl) is a DIFFERENT ABYC color from Dark Blue (Dk Bl). Light blue is specifically for oil pressure sender wiring, while dark blue is for cabin and instrument lighting circuits. Always verify the specific shade required for your application — these colors have different ABYC functional designations.

COMMON 14 AWG LIGHT BLUE MARINE OIL PRESSURE APPLICATIONS:
• Engine Oil Pressure Sender to Dashboard Gauge Signal Wire (Primary ABYC Use)
• Single-Engine Oil Pressure Monitoring (Most Common Installation)
• Twin-Engine Oil Pressure Monitoring (Port + Starboard Inboards)
• Triple-Engine Oil Pressure Monitoring (Outboard Installations)
• Outboard Motor Oil Pressure Sender Wiring (Where Equipped)
• Diesel Engine Oil Pressure Sender Signal
• Generator Oil Pressure Sender to Generator Gauge
• Marine Inboard Engine Oil Pressure Sender Wiring
• Sterndrive Engine Oil Pressure Sender Wiring
• Aftermarket Oil Pressure Gauge Installation Sender Run
• Low Oil Pressure Warning Buzzer/Light Circuits
• Oil Pressure Transducer Wiring (For Digital/Multi-Function Displays)
• Oil Pressure Sender Harness Extension and Repair
• OEM Oil Pressure Gauge Wiring Replacement
• Multi-Function Engine Display Oil Pressure Input Wiring

SIGNAL WIRE NOTE:
Oil pressure sender wires carry low-current signals (milliamps) representing the variable resistance from the oil pressure sender. The resistance varies based on oil pressure (typically 0-80 PSI or 0-150 PSI range depending on engine). 14 AWG is more than sufficient for the signal current — gauge selection prioritizes durability and abrasion resistance for engine compartment installations rather than ampacity.

COMPATIBLE OIL PRESSURE SENDER TYPES:
• Standard Marine Oil Pressure Senders (Mercury, Yamaha, Honda, Suzuki)
• VDO Standard Senders (10-180 ohm range)
• Faria Standard Senders (240-33 ohm range)
• Stewart Warner Senders (240-33 ohm range)
• Beede Senders (33-240 ohm range)
• Marine SAE J1810 Compliant Senders
• Diesel Engine Oil Pressure Senders
• Two-Wire and Three-Wire Sender Configurations

COMPATIBLE VESSEL TYPES:
• All Powerboats — Center Console, Cuddy Cabin, Express Cruiser, Walk-Around
• All Sailboats with Auxiliary Engines
• Pontoon Boats and Houseboats
• Bass Boats and Bay Boats
• Outboard Motor Oil Pressure Sender Harness Repairs
• Sterndrive and Inboard Engine Oil Pressure Sender Wiring

STANDARDS COMPLIANCE:
• UL Listed UL1426 Boat Cable Standard
• ABYC E-11 Compliant (American Boat & Yacht Council)
• United States Coast Guard (USCG) Specifications
• Made in USA

FITMENT NOTE:
Universal marine oil pressure sender signal wire — fits any marine application requiring 14 AWG light blue oil pressure sender conductor. Not vehicle-specific. Per ABYC E-11 Table XIV, light blue is specifically designated for oil pressure sender to gauge signal wiring. This is a signal wire (milliamps) and should not be used for power feeds. Confirm light blue (not dark blue) is the required color — these are different ABYC colors with different functions.
