Description

UNIVERSAL MARINE WIRE — 10 AWG RED TINNED COPPER PRIMARY WIRE 100 FT SPOOL:

ABYC E-11 STANDARD — RED COLOR USE (POSITIVE 12V UNGROUNDED CONDUCTOR):
Per ABYC E-11 marine electrical standards, RED color wire is designated for POSITIVE 12V ungrounded conductors. At 10 AWG (~30-40 amps continuous), this medium-gauge red marine wire is intended for MEDIUM CURRENT positive applications — distribution panel feeds, smaller inverter inputs, medium-size pumps, charging system runs, and other 30-40 amp circuits.

GAUGE COMPARISON — WHEN TO USE 10 AWG:
• 14 AWG (~15-20A) = Branch circuits, individual accessories, lighting
• 12 AWG (~25A) = Main feeds, helm electronics, distribution panel branches
• 10 AWG (~30-40A) = MEDIUM-CURRENT main feeds, larger pumps, 30A AC
• 8 AWG (~50A) = HIGH-CURRENT, inverters, windlass, larger pumps
• 4 AWG / 2 AWG / 1/0 AWG = Large starter cables, big inverters

COMMON 10 AWG MARINE MEDIUM-CURRENT POSITIVE APPLICATIONS:
• Distribution Panel Main Feed (30 Amp Service)
• Battery to Switch Panel Feed (Mid-Size Boats)
• Smaller Inverter Input (500-1000W Marine Inverters)
• Medium Bilge Pump Positive Feed (1100-1500 GPH)
• Macerator Pump Positive Power
• Smaller Windlass / Anchor Winch Positive Feed
• Trolling Motor Positive (12V Systems with Medium-Power Motors)
• Battery Charger Output Positive (10-30A Smart Chargers)
• Solar Charge Controller Output (Medium Solar Arrays)
• Marine Refrigerator Main Feed (Medium Refrigeration Units)
• High-Power LED Spotlight and Searchlight Feed
• Stereo Amplifier Power Feed (300-500W Marine Amps)
• Subpanel Feed in Mid-Size Vessels
• Cabin Heater Positive Feed (Smaller Units)
• 30A AC Marine Distribution Systems
• Marine Air Conditioning DC Feed (Smaller Units)
• Watermaker Positive Feed (Smaller Watermakers)
• Trim Tab Pump Positive Feed
• Engine Cooling Fan Power
• Bait Tank Pump Positive (Larger Pumps)
• Spotlight and Deck Light Heavy Loads
• Battery Selector Switch Output to Subpanel

NOT RECOMMENDED FOR (USE LARGER GAUGE):
• Main Battery Cables and Battery Switch Feeds
• Engine Starter Wiring — Use 4, 2, or 1/0 AWG
• Large Inverter Feeds (1500W+) — Use 8 AWG or 4 AWG
• Large Bow Thruster Feeds — Use 8 AWG, 4 AWG, or 2 AWG
• High-Current Loads Above ~40 Amps Continuous — Use 8 AWG or Larger

COMPATIBLE VESSEL TYPES:
• All Powerboats — Center Console, Cuddy Cabin, Express Cruiser, Walk-Around
• All Sailboats — Day Sailers, Cruisers, Racing Yachts
• Pontoon Boats and Houseboats with Medium-Current Accessories
• Bass Boats with Medium-Power Trolling Motors and Electronics
• Personal Watercraft (PWC) Larger Models
• Outboard Motor Distribution Wiring
• Sterndrive and Inboard Engine Charging System Runs
• RV and Trailer Marine-Grade Medium-Current Installations

STANDARDS COMPLIANCE:
• UL Listed UL1426 Boat Cable Standard
• ABYC E-11 Compliant (American Boat & Yacht Council)
• United States Coast Guard (USCG) Specifications
• Made in USA

FITMENT NOTE:
Universal medium-gauge marine wire — fits any marine application requiring 10 AWG red positive medium-current conductor. Not vehicle-specific. Per ABYC E-11, red is for positive 12V conductors. 10 AWG sits between 12 AWG (lighter branch circuits) and 8 AWG (heavy main feeds) — ideal for 30-40 amp distribution feeds, smaller inverters, medium pumps, and charging system runs. For higher current step up to 8 AWG; for branch circuits step down to 12 AWG.
