This pack of 32 loose needle rollers is designed for the center main bearing position in Mercury and Mariner 2-stroke looper outboard engines from 65 horsepower to 125 horsepower. The needle rollers operate between the crankshaft journal and the outer race at the center main bearing location, providing low-friction rotational support for the crankshaft. This listing includes 32 loose needle rollers only and does not include the outer race which is sold separately. Compatible with Mercury looper engines equipped with both 3.375-inch bore cylinders from 1985 through 1993 and 3.500-inch bore cylinders from 1994 through 2005. Loose needle rollers must be replaced during engine rebuild whenever wear, pitting, or flat spots are present on any individual roller, as even one damaged roller can cause premature bearing failure. Always count and verify all needle rollers are properly seated during reassembly to prevent crankshaft damage from missing or misplaced bearings. Verify your part number before ordering to confirm correct application for your specific engine.
