PRODUCT DETAILS:
Direct replacement lower rod needle bearing assembly with retainer cage for Mercury, Mariner, and Chrysler/Force 2-stroke outboard engines from 35HP through 150HP. This caged needle bearing replaces the original connecting rod lower bearing that rides on the crankshaft journal in 2-stroke outboard engines. Manufactured to match or exceed specifications for proper fit and durability in the demanding marine outboard environment. The needle bearing with retainer design provides excellent load capacity in a compact package, essential for the high-RPM operation of 2-stroke outboard engines. Fits Mercury cross flow models from 1970 through 1986, looper models, and sport jet models, as well as Chrysler/Force outboards from 1979 through 1995. A worn or damaged connecting rod bearing can cause excessive crankshaft play, knocking, and eventual engine failure if not replaced during rebuild. Confirm your engine model and part number before purchasing to verify proper fitment.
