Direct replacement center main bearing for Mercury and Mariner outboard engines covering 30 through 60 HP models in 2-cylinder, 3-cylinder, and 4-cylinder configurations from 1986 through 2014. This bearing fits a wide range of Mercury outboard models including the popular 50 HP 3-cylinder which had one of the longest production runs, the Bigfoot 60 HP with its oversized lower unit for improved performance at lower speeds, and the jet drive variants for shallow water applications. The 3-cylinder 2.875 bore cross flow 50 HP model from the late 1980s also uses this same center main bearing, as does the later 2.992 bore version that replaced it. The center main bearing is positioned between cylinders and provides critical crankshaft support in the powerhead assembly. A failing center main bearing presents as engine noise, vibration, reduced power, or visible crankshaft play during inspection.
