PRODUCT DETAILS:
This center main bearing outer race is designed for Mercury and Mariner 2-stroke looper outboard engines from 65 horsepower to 125 horsepower. The outer race provides the precision-machined hardened steel bearing surface against which the loose needle rollers operate at the center main crankshaft journal position. This listing includes the outer race only and does not include the needle rollers which are sold separately. Compatible with Mercury looper engines equipped with both 3.375-inch bore cylinders from 1985 through 1993 and 3.500-inch bore cylinders from 1994 through 2005 in both 3-cylinder and 4-cylinder configurations. The center main bearing outer race must be replaced when it shows signs of pitting, scoring, discoloration, or uneven wear patterns that would compromise the needle bearing rolling surface. Always inspect the outer race during engine rebuild and replace if any surface damage is present to prevent premature bearing failure and crankshaft damage. Verify your part number before ordering to confirm correct application for your specific engine.
