SYMPTOMS OF FAILED ISOLATOR BOOT:
• Higher-Than-Normal Idle RPM
• Loud Hissing Sound from Engine Compartment
• Engine RPM Revs Up Unexpectedly
• Reduced Low-End Power and Throttle Response
• Possible Engine Fault Codes for Air-Fuel Mixture
• Intermittent High Idle While Idling at Dock

INSTALLATION:
• Step 1: Disconnect battery negative cable
• Step 2: Remove cowling from outboard
• Step 3: Locate isolator boot at junction of ETC unit and bottom of supercharger
• Step 4: Loosen hose clamp on existing boot (cut zip-tie if applicable)
• Step 5: Remove old boot from ETC and supercharger
• Step 6: Inspect both mounting surfaces for damage and debris
• Step 7: Position new boot with mount plate flange adhered as designed
• Step 8: Install with new clamp 54-815504256 (included with 8M0113513)
• Step 9: Tighten clamp to manufacturer specification
• Step 10: Reinstall cowling, reconnect battery
• Step 11: Start engine, verify normal idle and no hissing sound

This isolator boot is specifically engineered for Verado L6 2.6L supercharged 4-stroke outboards — NOT compatible with Verado 4-cylinder, FourStroke non-supercharged, OptiMax, or other Mercury platforms. Always inspect supercharger and ETC mounting surfaces during replacement.
