Kit Contents:

Function:
The drum brake wheel cylinder converts hydraulic pressure from the master cylinder into mechanical force that pushes the brake shoes against the drum to slow or stop the vehicle. Worn seals allow fluid to leak past the pistons, reducing braking force and potentially contaminating the brake shoes with fluid.
When to Rebuild:
• Fluid leak visible at wheel cylinder or on brake shoes
• Reduced rear braking effectiveness
• Brake shoes contaminated with brake fluid
• During brake shoe replacement as preventive maintenance
Installation Notes:
• Clean wheel cylinder bore thoroughly before installing new components
• Apply included assembly grease to seals
• Inspect brake drum for scoring — resurface or replace if needed
• Replace brake shoes if contaminated with fluid
• Use fresh DOT 4 brake fluid — bleed system after rebuild
