This 81mm inside diameter / 90mm outside diameter cylinder sleeve is designed for the Yamaha Wave Raider personal watercraft powered by the 701cc 2-cylinder 2-stroke engine with 81mm bore and 68mm stroke. The cylinder sleeve is a precision-machined cast iron liner that presses into the aluminum cylinder casting to restore the cylinder bore when the original bore has become worn, scored, or damaged. Compatible with the Yamaha Wave Raider 700cc from 1994 through 1997 and the Wave Raider Deluxe 700cc from 1995 equipped with the 701cc 2-cylinder 2-stroke engine. The 90mm outside diameter is specific to the Wave Raider cylinder casting and differs from other Yamaha 700cc models that use an 88mm OD sleeve, so correct identification is important before ordering. The sleeve is supplied undersized and must be bored and honed to final dimensions after installation to achieve the correct piston-to-cylinder wall clearance. Professional machine shop installation is required for pressing the sleeve into the cylinder and boring to final specifications with proper crosshatch surface finish. Verify your engine model and bore size before ordering to ensure correct application.
