PRODUCT DETAILS:
This thermal viscous fan clutch is a direct OEM replacement for 1996-2005 Chevrolet Tracker, Sidekick, Grand Vitara equipped with 1.6L/2.0L I4/2.5L V6 engines. The fan clutch mounts between the water pump pulley and the engine cooling fan blade, controlling fan engagement based on engine compartment temperature. The thermal viscous clutch uses temperature-sensitive bi-metallic coil and silicone fluid to progressively engage the cooling fan when engine temperatures rise, then disengage at lower temperatures to reduce parasitic drag and improve fuel economy. This temperature-activated design provides the optimal balance between engine cooling performance and mechanical efficiency across all driving conditions. Premium bearing assembly and viscous coupling meet or exceed OEM specifications for engagement temperature, fan speed range, and torque capacity. Direct bolt-on replacement with factory-matching bolt pattern for straightforward installation.
