PRODUCT DETAILS:
This thermal viscous fan clutch is a direct OEM replacement for 1994-1998 Toyota T100 equipped with 2.7L I4/3.4L V6 engines. The fan clutch mounts between the water pump pulley and the engine cooling fan blade, controlling fan engagement based on engine compartment temperature. The thermal fan clutch uses a bi-metallic coil spring that responds to rising radiator heat, engaging the silicone fluid coupling to drive the fan at higher speeds when additional cooling airflow is needed. When the engine is cool or at highway speeds where ram air provides sufficient cooling, the clutch disengages allowing the fan to freewheel, reducing parasitic drag on the engine and improving fuel economy. This temperature-activated design provides the optimal balance between engine cooling performance and mechanical efficiency. The viscous silicone fluid coupling provides smooth progressive engagement without the harsh engagement of a fixed fan drive. Engineered to match OEM specifications for engagement temperature, fan speed range, and torque capacity. Premium bearing assembly ensures smooth rotation and long service life. Direct bolt-on replacement with factory-matching bolt pattern and shaft dimensions.
