This direct replacement water pump features aluminum construction with a precision-formed metal impeller designed for the BMW M60 DOHC V8 engine in 3.0 and 4.0-liter configurations found in the 1993 through 1995 BMW 7 Series and 5 Series flagship models. The belt-driven standard rotation pump ensures proper factory equivalent installation as a direct replacement for BMW original equipment part number 11510004163. The M60 V8 was BMW first modern V8 engine and represented a quantum leap in technology with dual overhead cams and four valves per cylinder. The M60B40 4.0-liter version in the 740i and 740iL delivered 282 horsepower providing effortless luxury sedan performance while the M60B30 3.0-liter in the 530i produced 215 horsepower. The E34 540i received the full 4.0-liter V8. The aluminum housing provides excellent heat dissipation and corrosion resistance while the metal impeller ensures optimal coolant flow.
