PRODUCT DETAILS:
This heavy-duty performance water pump features rugged cast iron construction with a precision-formed metal impeller for reliable coolant flow in the early Chevrolet big block V8 engine family found across 1958 through 1972 Chevrolet GMC and Jeep vehicles. The belt-driven standard rotation design ensures proper factory equivalent installation as a direct replacement for ACDelco original equipment part number 252769. Compatible with the Chevrolet 348 396 409 427 and 454 cubic inch big block V8 engines in the Chevrolet Biscayne Impala Caprice Chevelle El Camino and C20 trucks the GMC C25 K25 Suburban and P25 vans and the Jeep J-3700 and J-3800 trucks. The short-style water pump design with 5.64 inch hub height is specific to the first-generation big block V8 configuration used prior to the 1973 redesign. The Chevrolet 348 and 409 W-series engines and the later 396 and 427 Mark IV engines were among the most powerful production engines of their era. The Jeep J-truck applications used the GM big block as an optional engine. The cast iron housing provides maximum durability for these classic performance and truck applications. Features a permanently sealed bearing assembly for dependable leak-free operation. Engineered for reliable vintage big block cooling.
