This direct replacement water pump features aluminum construction with a precision-formed metal impeller designed for the Saab B204 B205 B234 and B235 DOHC turbocharged four-cylinder engines found in the 1994-1998 Saab 900, 1999-2003 Saab 9-3, and 1999-2009 Saab 9-5. The belt-driven pump ensures proper factory equivalent installation across these related Saab platforms. The new-generation Saab 900 introduced in 1994 was the first Saab built on the GM 2900 platform and featured the proven B204 and B234 turbo engines that provided the spirited performance Saab was known for. The 9-3 succeeded the 900 in 1999 and continued with evolved versions of the same engine family designated B205 and B235 with improved turbo response and emissions compliance. The flagship 9-5 sedan offered the 2.3-liter turbo as its primary powerplant with various output levels from 170 to 250 horsepower depending on tune.
