This direct replacement water pump features aluminum construction with a precision-formed metal impeller designed for the Mazda K-engine family of DOHC V6 engines including the K8 1.8-liter in the MX-3, KL 2.5-liter in the MX-6 and Ford Probe GT, and KJ 2.3-liter Miller Cycle and KL 2.5-liter in the Mazda Millenia. The timing belt-driven pump ensures proper factory equivalent installation across these related Mazda platforms spanning 1992 through 2002. The Mazda MX-3 GS featured the remarkable K8 engine which held the distinction of being the world smallest production V6 at just 1.8 liters producing 130 horsepower. The MX-6 and its sister car the Ford Probe GT shared the KL 2.5-liter V6 producing 164 horsepower built at the AutoAlliance International plant in Flat Rock Michigan. The Mazda Millenia flagship sedan offered both the innovative KJ 2.3-liter Miller Cycle supercharged V6 producing 210 horsepower and the naturally aspirated KL 2.5-liter V6.
